The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Venezuelan People, expresses his sincere congratulations to the People and Government of National Unity and Reconciliation of the Republic of Nicaragua for the successful electoral process held o March 3rd, in the Caribbean Coast of the Republic of Nicaragua.
In the framework of the civil and democratic regional electoral process, the Nicaraguan People had an exemplary participation exercising its right to vote, with respect and in defense of the people’s sovereignty, despite the subversive protests by opposing groups promoted by the United States for destabilizing purposes.
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela ratifies and honors such decision-making popular processes as a guarantee of sovereignty, democracy and peace for our peoples and congratulates the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN, in its Spanish acronyms) for this democratic victory, reaffirming its legitimacy and political and historical leadership before the brotherly Nicaraguan people.
